Donald "Don" Ringland, 86, of Killingworth, CT, husband of Francelia entered into Eternal Rest on October 15, 2016, at home with his family. Donald was born September 28, 1930, in Whittier, CA. He joined the United States Marine Corps in November 1948, serving during the Korean War and was given an Honorable Discharge in December 1956 with the rank of Technical Sergeant. Donald spent 37 years in the Data Processing field, retiring from SCM Corporation in 1984 and from Allied-Signal in 1998. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Francelia Ringland, a...

Donald "Don" Ringland, 86, of Killingworth, CT, husband of Francelia entered into Eternal Rest on October 15, 2016, at home with his family. Donald was born September 28, 1930, in Whittier, CA. He joined the United States Marine Corps in November 1948, serving during the Korean War and was given an Honorable Discharge in December 1956 with the rank of Technical Sergeant. Donald spent 37 years in the Data Processing field, retiring from SCM Corporation in 1984 and from Allied-Signal in 1998. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Francelia Ringland, a sister Wanda Lambert of Salem, OR, a twin sister, Nancy Burgess of Portland, OR, and six children, Dawn Aston of Highlands Ranch, CO, Kathleen Mones of Westbrook, CT, Timothy Ringland of San Diego, CA, Teresa Broker of Gilbert, AZ, Raymond Ringland of Chandler, AZ, and Deborah Wierick of Salem, OR, sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. After retirement, Don enjoyed working with wood, making various pieces of furniture, remodeling the house and helping his children around their homes. He was particularly happy with babysitting his granddaughter, Natalie, and helping with his newest granddaughters, Molly and Madelyn.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 22nd at 10:30am in the Killingworth Congregational Church, Route 81, Killingworth, CT.
